How to Donate
Thank you very much for helping me hit the CHF 20,000 target! To help those not sure how much to give, I have defined three packages starting off at CHF 450:

CHF 450: Pay for 15 surgeries
CHF 1200: Pay for 40 surgeries
CHF 2100: Pay for 70 surgeries

The ride is on the 2nd of November and I will continue to raise funds throughout. I am grateful for each donation – every donor can expect a thank you gift once I am back.

There are currently two ways you can donate:

You can donate online on the Swiss Surgeons in Ethiopia Foundation's GOSTAR website via card, Apple Pay, Twint or PayPal.

The Impact of Your Donation
Every donation helps Pele's team increase their impact. Below is an indicator of what your specific donation means for the center's patients:
CHF 450
Pays for 15 Surgeries
Donating CHF 450 changes the lives of over 10 families, especially those that need multiple operations to return to health
CHF 1200
Pays for 40 Surgeries
Donating over CHF 1000 also funds the prosthetic restoration of all amputees in an average Ethiopian village
CHF 2100
Pays for 70 Surgeries
CHF 2100 pays for two weeks of a specialist Swiss nurse. If only 10 friends donated this amount I would reach my CHF 20,000 target!

You are interested in being a part of the adventure. I plan to post regular updates and pictures here. We will also have a camera team from SRF with us for some of the journey – and it will be something you can be proud to have been a part of.

What is the minimum donation amount?
What is the minimum donation amount?
There is no minimum donation amount, however for suggested amounts and the impact specific donations will have, see "The Impact of Your Donation" above. In order to make a real impact, I would recommend starting with the lowest package.
How much of my donation will go to help the foundation?
My goal with this website is to make sure as close to 100% of the total amount raised goes to the beneficiaries and hospital itself. My initial plan was to use a fundraising platform, but these take up to 10% of the total amount raised which was not acceptable.

Everybody working for the foundation is doing this on a voluntary basis. All money goes into the project.
